MICS

About MICS

Micro Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS) is an advanced cataract removal technique performed through a very small incision, ensuring faster healing and enhanced visual outcomes. This minimally invasive procedure reduces surgical trauma and promotes quicker recovery compared to conventional methods.

At our eye hospital, we utilize modern surgical systems and premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) to deliver precise, safe, and high-quality vision correction. MICS offers improved patient comfort, minimal astigmatism, and rapid return to daily activities.

Procedure

The MICS procedure begins with a detailed pre-operative evaluation, including biometric measurements and eye health assessment to select the appropriate intraocular lens.

During surgery, a micro incision is created through which the cataract-affected lens is emulsified and removed. A foldable intraocular lens is then implanted through the same tiny incision. The smaller wound size promotes faster healing and often does not require stitches.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, is painless, and typically completed within a short duration. Post-operative care includes prescribed eye drops and follow-up visits to ensure optimal healing and visual clarity.
